I have been a successful Sales Representative, Team Leader and Account Manager within the Logistics industry for nearly 10 years.  I am looking to further my career in Logistics by becoming a Traffic Manager / Supply Chain Manager as my next position.

-           Sales Representative, Account Manager and Logistics / Freight Broker
-           Responsible for the day-to-day shipping activities (LTL and Full Truckload) for the customers that I manage.
-           Carrier Development.  Responsible for the development and management of new and existing carrier’s.
-           Daily responsibilities include sales and account management.  Following up on orders booked, dispatched,    loaded, in-transit and delivered.
-           Daily activities also include inbound and outbound sales cold calling to build up customer database.
-           Provided weekly and monthly meetings to existing customers to help solve current issues within their company and within the transportation industry and inform them of new carriers that may service their area.
-           I worked for J and J Logistics for a short period of time (about 1 year) as a fill in job until the position with CRST Logistics opened. I had previously interviewed with CRST Logistics in 2006 and was offered the position, however due to a hiring freeze the position was not going to open up until October of 2007. When the position opened up, I made the move to CRST Logistics.
-           I worked for CRST Logistics until September of 2009. The sales department was being outsourced through a contractor and was changing the sales force to more of a customer service call center rather than a true logistics brokerage. At this time, I chose to leave the company and go to work for LGI, Inc (Logistics Group International) out of Houston, TX.

-           Sales Representative and Account Manager for the Association Solutions department.
-           Responsible for managing 13 Associations and their members within the Yellow Transportation sales force.
-           These associations consist of roughly 15,000 members who I call on for shipping solutions and manage any problems they may encounter.
-           Attend weekly meetings regarding enrollments, account productivity and overall revenue for our department.
-           Attend Trade Shows throughout the country for each association that I manage. Within these shows I market our product, manage our current members and recruit new potential members that are attending the shows.
-           Responsible for training new employees on the Yellow Transportation database.
-           After 9 months of employment, Yellow/YRC downsized nearly ¾ of their sales force due to reorganization with Yellow and Roadway. Our positions within this department were eliminated at this time.

-           Sales Representative, Account Manager and Team Leader for an internet based Freight Sales/Brokerage.
-           Responsible for selling online services to customers who need shipping solutions for business and/or personal use.
-           Personally acquired over 300 companies who consistently use our internet services to fulfill all of their incoming and outgoing shipments on a daily to weekly basis.
-           These companies generated over $1.5 Million in yearly revenue for Freightquote and the portfolio that I managed. This book also generated roughly $420,000 in yearly profit for Freightquote.
-           Enrolled 150+ small to medium sized companies and prospects into the Freightquote database in a given month that utilized shipping solutions as a daily form of business for their company. Once a company had been enrolled, internet services were sold to the clients and relationship building was the next key step in getting revenue
-           Maintained account management responsibilities and provided consultation to clients.
-           Provided weekly and monthly meetings (phone based and in person) to existing customers to help solve current issues and inform them of new carriers that may service their area.
-           Completed all Management Training courses within Freightquote. These courses are recognized to individuals who have maintained and surpassed their monthly quotas and recognized as individuals who are mentors to new sales representatives starting with the company.

-           Customer Service Representative for QWEST, Cincinnati Bell and BellSouth customers.
-           Assisted customers with warranty claims on telephone equipment that had malfunctioned.
-           Provided support and troubleshooting on telephone equipment to resolve the malfunction issue. If the problem could not be resolved, a warranty claim was issued.
-           The environment was an inbound Call Center. Approximately 100+ calls per representative came in on a daily basis.
-           Provided additional training classes for the team in regards to timecard software, customer service and updated claim information.
-           Involved in meetings with management regarding current issues within the workplace, future improvements to the Call Center and goal setting procedures.
-           Maintained top Quality Assurance scores within the company.
-           Nominated for Associate of the Month out of 600+ employees.
-           Received the “Best of the Best” Award for the months of February, March, June, July and August of 2002 for meeting and exceeding company standards for call volume and quality assurance.
-           I accepted the position with Lock/Line for the purpose of moving into a Technical Recruiter roll that was to be in place within 1 year. Just before the position was to come about, DST Systems purchased this division of Lockton Insurance and the position was eliminated. For this reason alone, I wanted to pursue and sales and account management position within another industry.
